Shannon Mchours
Shannon completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at James Cook University in 2021. During her studies, she worked in a gym, gaining valuable experience with injured gym-goers and developing a strong understanding of strength training and rehabilitation. After graduating, she worked in hospitals across North Queensland and the Gold Coast, treating post-surgical patients and those undergoing long-term rehabilitation.
With over 8 years of experience in weightlifting and hybrid/Hyrox-style training, Shannon has always been passionate about health and fitness. She has a deep appreciation for biomechanics and functional rehabilitation, helping individuals optimise movement patterns and long-term performance. She incorporates a range of manual therapy techniques alongside corrective exercise to support recovery and injury prevention.
Beyond the clinic, Shannon is a strong advocate for overall wellness, emphasising mobility, recovery, and nutrition to support both daily function and athletic performance. She enjoys educating patients on how to maximize their health and longevity, empowering them to move and feel their best.
In her spare time, you can find her lifting weights, challenging herself with hybrid training, or experimenting with new recovery and mobility techniques to keep her body performing at its peak.
