Elite Health and Performance’s massage therapists use their knowledge of physiology and anatomy to combine traditional Swedish and modern massage therapy techniques with other therapies such as dry needling, PNF stretching, cupping and muscle rehabilitation to treat their clients injuries, mobility restrictions and to keep their body in peak health.
Massage therapy offers a holistic approach to healing and is beneficial in the recovery of a number of musculoskeletal conditions as well as common complications of other disorders. Massage therapy consists of primarily hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body specifically the muscles, tendons, ligaments, connective tissue and joints for the purpose of optimizing health and performance.
During your treatment your therapist will take a detailed health history as well as assess muscle strength and mobility to identify your requirements and outcome goals to create a custom treatment plan to identify which modalities will help restore your body as quickly as possible. Massage therapy can also be used as a part of a preventative care program. Together you and your therapist will develop a treatment plan based on your needs whether being for injury management or performance optimisation.
